UBC Professors Kevin Song and Vadim Marmer win Zellner Award for paper in Journal of Econometrics

Professors Kevin Song and Vadim Marmer, along with Tilburg’s Denis Kojevnikov (VSE Phd ‘19), have won the 2023 Zellner award for their paper in the Journal of Econometrics. This award is given each year to the best theory paper published in the Journal.

The paper, “Limit theorems for network dependent random variables,” provides new theoretical results that researchers working with network data can use to develop statistical methods. Substantive research areas benefitting from this work may include those studying outcomes such as the spillover effects of government policies, technological diffusion in developing countries, or peer effects among students. For more information on this research, read the paper here.
