Applications for the 2025 NATO Field School are now open until December 10th!
Open to undergraduate and graduate students from all NATO nations, this accredited program will be taking place in May-July of 2025 in Latvia, Italy, Belgium, and more! Run by Simon Fraser University’s Department of Political Science in collaboration with the NATO Defense College in Rome and the NATO Public Diplomacy Division, this program offers a unique opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the fields of international relations, security, and diplomacy while embarking on an unforgettable experience across Europe.

During the 8-week summer program, students will:
- Interact with professionals across Europe, from junior officials, soldiers, and interns, all the way to senior officials, generals, and ambassadors
- Learn through hands-on engagement, experience, observation, practice, and professional interactions with security, defence, and diplomacy practitioners
- Gain experience in political strategy, foreign policy formation, politico-military coordination, multilateral negotiation, strategic communication, cyber and information security, and media relations
- Receive specialized negotiation, diplomatic, and simulation training from senior NATO officials
