Congratulations to Associate Professor Francesco Trebbi, recipient of a prestigious UBC Killam Research Prize. The prize recognizes Francesco’s outstanding research and scholarly contributions to his field and the UBC community.

Francesco’s primary research and teaching interests are in political economy and macroeconomics (monetary and fiscal policy). He has worked on political institutions and their design, elections and campaign finance, housing and banking regulation, and lobbying. Francesco is a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Researcha Fellow of the Canadian Institute For Advanced Research, and currently co-editor of the Journal of Public Economics.

The Killam Research Prize is a prestigious award. Faculty researchers are nominated by their peers. Winners are selected by UBC’s Faculty Research Award Committee, which spans arts and humanities, business, education, applied science, science, and medicine.
