Undergraduate Award Recipients Announced

Please join the Vancouver School of Economics (VSE) in congratulating our most recent scholarship recipients. The students were nominated by the VSE based on their academic excellence and performance.

  • Nontakorn Terdtoontaveedej: a 4th year Economics Majors Student wins the Economics Undergraduate Scholarship
  • Kira Martin-Chan: a 4th year Economics Honours Student wins the Robert Mills Clark Memorial Scholarship
  • Minshi Zhu: a 4th year Economics Major/Mathematics Major Student wins the Dal Grauer Memorial Scholarship
  • Eric Sean Mcmurtrie Protzer: a 4th year Economics Majors Student/Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering/Minor in Commerce wins the Hector Gordon Munro Scholarship in Economics

 About the Scholarships

Economics Undergraduate Scholarship

Scholarships have been endowed by alumni and friends of the Department of Economics for undergraduate students in the Department.  The Awards are made on the recommendation of the Department of Economics.

Robert Mills Clark Memorial Scholarship

The scholarship has been endowed through a bequest by Robert Mills Clark for an undergraduate student entering the fourth year of a major or honours program in Economics.  The award is made on the recommendation of the Department of Economics.

Dal Grauer Memorial Scholarship 

The scholarship has been endowed as a memorial to Dr. Albert E. (Dal) Grauer, who was Chancellor of the University from 1957-1961 by Frank M. McMahon. The award is made to a student in Economics and is open to both graduate and undergraduate students.

Hector Gordon Munro Scholarship in Economics 

A scholarship has been endowed by the late Blanche Bailey, B.A. ’27, in memory of her husband, Hector Gordon Munro, B.A. ’27, President of Arts ’27, who died in 1957. In her freshman year, Blanche Bailey was Vice-President of Arts ’27. The award is made on the recommendation of the Department, to a student in Economics, entering his or her final year in the B.A. Program.
