Each year, book awards are given to Year 1 economics doctoral students who have earned the highest grades in microeconomics, macroeconomics and econometrics.
The 2014-15 book award winners are:
- Mengying Wei for the obtaining the highest grades in microeconomics and macroeconomics. She receives the Chuck Blackorby Prize in Microeconomics. Mengying is also the recipient of the John Helliwell Prize in Macroeconomics.
- Tsenguun Enkhbaatar for his performance in econometrics. He receives the John Cragg Prize in Econometrics.
