The University of British Columbia is currently advertising a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in the Vancouver School of Economics in the Economics of Culture (as they relate to institutions and economic outcomes). This will be a tenured Associate Professor or Professor position. Established by the Government of Canada in 2000, the Canada Research Chair Programme is committed to excellence in research and research training. Tier I Chairs are seven-year positions, renewable once, targeted at experienced researchers who are world leaders in their fields.

We hire sessional instructors on a term-by-term basis as needs arise. Sessional instructors must be Canadians or Permanent Residents and should have a PhD or have completed PhD requirements except for the dissertation. Teaching experience is preferred.
