

Professor Emeritus Erwin Diewert has been selected as the recipient of the ISEAPA Lifetime Achievement Award for 2026. This award will be presented in a special session at the 2026 European Workshop on Efficiency and Productivity Analysis (EWEPA) in Munich.

“This prestigious award recognises Professor Diewert’s truly outstanding and enduring contributions to economics, particularly to index number theory, measurement of productivity and price dynamics, and the broader analytical foundations that underpin much of the work carried out in efficiency and productivity analysis today. Over several decades, Erwin’s scholarship has profoundly shaped our understanding of economic measurement and has influenced generations of researchers across academia, statistical agencies, and international organizations.”
