Economics Student Behrooz Ghorbani Receives Wesbrook Scholarship

Congratulations to VSE student Behrooz Ghorbani, who is a 2013/2014 recipient of the Wesbrook Scholarship!

The scholarships are UBC’s most prestigious student designations, given to senior students with outstanding academic performance, leadership, involvement in student and community activities, and, in some instances, participation in sports.

Behrooz is a fourth-year BA student, completing a double major in Economics and Mathematics.

“I am extremely proud of Behrooz and impressed by his accomplishments,” says Assistant Professor Joshua Gottlieb, who has been Behrooz’s supervisor for the past year.  “Behrooz performs outstanding work, comes up with creative solutions to difficult problems, and is deeply committed to his research.  His performance merits UBC’s highest honors and I congratulate him on this well-deserved award.”
