Nicole Fortin Receives Mike McCracken Award for Economic Statistics



Congratulations to VSE Professor Nicole Fortin on winning the “Mike McCracken Award for Economic Statistics” (jointly with Lars Osberg and Miles Corak) from the Canadian Economics Association. The award recognizes theoretical and applied contributions to the development or use of economic statistics in Canada.

Nicole’s research areas focus on wage inequality, the economic progress of women, and contributions to decomposition methods. Originally from Montréal, she received her Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia.
